- Empty archives are reported as warnings.
It is now possible to set the sequence of tasks to stop for auto-test results (otherwise it will stop only in case of error) from Options > Settings > Advanced.

v8.2 [Sep 12, 2021]
- PeaZip 8.2.0 improves command line usage with updated archiving and extraction switches, and introduces (peazip)/res/batch folder which contains sample scripts and system integration files (SendTo and freedesktop_integration folders are moved here).
- The archive manager is now capable of optionally displaying compression/encryption method, and modified, created, accessed timestamps for each item in archive, and to display number of items contained in each folder.
- It is now possible to chose to keep extracted files even in case errors occurred during the extraction, and working with spanned files was improved.
- Smart extraction is now available as default action to take at program's startup, alongside Open, Open as archive, Extract (full), Extract here.
- This release focuses on improving user experience on Linux systems, updating installers, improving the automatic configuration of applications for "open with" actions, and displaying more system's paths in the file manager.
- Backend were updated to Brotli 1.0.9 (Linux).
- A total of 225 file extensions can now be managed by PeaZip, with addition of .apkm, .apks, and .aab Android package formats, and of Lzip .lz (on Linux versions only).
- Translations are available in over than 30 languages, any help is welcome to translate PeaZip to new languages and to maintain current localizations up to date, so please consider taking the time to give a look to translations directory for newer language files and for any resource useful for translators.

Release 6.5 improves archive manager, archive conversion procedure, and introduces ability to move and rename objects inside existing archives.

v6.4 [Mar 27, 2017]
- Added experimental privacy_mode directive (at current state can be changed only from configuration file, or hardcoded at compile time) meant to help users not forgetting to provide a password when working on sensitive data.
- Rightclicking on file manager's column header shows context menu for
customizing columns; applying on the fly checksum/hash, search for duplicates, and set algorithm for those two functions; and save GUI content as tab-separated TXT file.
- Clicking the style icon on the right of the status bar shows menu of presets for file manager.

v5.8 [Oct 5, 2015]
Release 5.8.1 can now handle (browse, extract, create) archives with UTF-8 filenames, single and multiple file renaming was improved, and 7z backend was updated to 15.09 (on Windows), adding support to virtual machines' disk image formats VMWare's VMDK (single and multi-volume), Oracle VirtualBox's VDI, QUEMU's QCOW2, and for ext2, ext3, ext4 formatted IMG disk images.
"Free Software compliance" directive can now be set in configuration (Options > Advanced) or hardcoded at compile time, in order to ease the enforcement of policies regarding Free Software usage for system administrators and software distributors.

PeaZip 4.4 improves extraction and archiving interfaces, with a new, simpler to read and use layout, clearly divided in input and output area, removing all redundant information and graphic, and featuring all most significant options in the first tab.
Alongside various other fixes and improvements, it is now possible to use only keyfiles, only passwords, or both, to encrypt files.
A total of 136 file extensions are supported (added support for opening OXT files as archives).

PeaZip 3.9.1 updates application's look and feel, with new Windows icons and 48 px application's icons for "Icon" mode.
The new release adds support for ZIPX archives, and features contextual menus for toolbar buttons, i.e. to directly archive (or convert) selected items in the specified format, and for address bar (history, latest searches).
Packages were optimized in order to feature less files and 20% smaller installer, and now uses non compressed main executables to reduce memory usage of the application.
